Overview

All new ATC studens will contact the Training Department to start their training process to be a ATC at the Israel Division.

After contacting the training department the TC\TAC will assign a mentor for the student to provide a quality qualification process.

ATC Mentors List

 

The controllers listed above are the mentors available in real-time and you can contact them for any help.

  • Trainer xx (eg: Trainer 04) is the trainer's number, for example Trainer 03 will be online as IL_T03_OBS.
  • "Mentoring" section indicate about the positions that the controller is mentoring on.

Mentors

A experienced controller in the Israeli FIR rated with AS3 or higher whice is apper on the "IL ATC Mentors" list, the mentors selected by the training department and the division HQ to help the training department with the qualification procces.

Mentors aren't allowed to train GCA controllers, GCA controllers will get thire training and checkouts with the TC\TAC or the DIV-HQ.

How to become a Mentor controller?

Agreeing to participate as a mentor represents a significant commitment of time and energy to help the division's training department staff with the training process of the new ATC students.

Mentors will be expected to:

  • Investing time and effort in training new students.
  • Being as professional as possible.
  • Represent the division staff and meet the divisional and network rules at all times.
  • Follow the mentors instruction of the training department.
  • After a period in role, the mentor will get the IVAO offical trainer privileges in his profile.
  • When online as a observer, connection will be on the following form: IL_Txx_OBS so that people know to contact them for help.
